Electric Power · NERC CIP

Keep the lights on, and give the auditor evidence that holds up.

Generation, transmission and distribution, EMS, co-ops, and munis. The team walks a live generating station or control center the same way it walks a water plant: plant-safe, Level 3.5 and down, with operations in the room. When the work has to stand up to NERC CIP, the team maps the evidence to the standard.

The problem

CIP cares about BES Cyber Systems, Electronic Security Perimeter access points, and whether the control center and the generating station were actually looked at, on a live system, with a method that will not trip the plant. Co-ops and munis need the same plant-safe start. The findings that are common in SCADA, DCS, and operational networks still have to be written so an auditor can use them.

How Red Tiger handles it

  • Step 1. A plant-safe CVA of live ICS and EMS, plus a NERC CIP CVA when the scope needs evidence mapped to CIP-005 and CIP-007. Often combined with a generating station or EMS assessment. Level 3.5 and down. Only OT, not IT.
  • Step 2. Fix the immediate need: the gap that fails the audit, or the open path into the ESP.
  • Step 3. 24x7 MSP + Metrics and Reports when you want the team to stay, on the cadence you set.
Red Tiger is a service provider. It is not a NERC auditor, and it does not sell sensor products.

Who Red Tiger works with

Generation, T&D, EMS and control centers, cooperatives, and municipal utilities. If an asset sits under CIP, the scope says so.
